I can't believe I waited so long to order over the internet. It was so easy to do and Fedex delivered 5 lbs to my door step.

Absolutely! And if you get a couple of buddies to split a case then the price per pound goes down quite a bit. The last case I ordered came to under $12 per pound delivered.

It's so easy, there really is no excuse not to be able shoot real BP.

I'm told we are only allowed to have 5 lbs max at any given time here so I'll have to live with just ordering that amount.

I understand; I know different areas have more stringent rules. Still, even with the 5# limit, it's cheaper than retail. Plus, it's delivered to your door!

-----would 50 lbs in the house and 50 lbs in a detatched garage be legal? [just wondering]-----

I'm not a lawyer, but I think that the rule means that you are limited to owning 50 pounds at one time, no matter where you keep it.

I always assumed that the point of the ATF Reg was to place SOME sort of limit on the amount of undocumented BP a resident could have, therefore 50lbs in a single falily dwelling...I don't think their intention was to split hairs and mean that another 50lbs would be OK in every outbuilding a resident might have or build...but I could be wrong...seems if that was the case it would have become clarified by now and included in the regs.

Your State Fire Marshall's Office would be the local contact point who might know.

And of course there's nothing wrong with every one of your relatives or neighbors storing 50lbs at their residences...

Heck yeah ordering it is easy! I didn't even know that until the folks here told me about it. Back in 06 I ordered 25 lbs. I still have about half of it left. I had a slow year due to spending the summer on the road doing gunshows. When you order larger amounts like that, it sure brings the price down. I think from now on, I'll try to find local fellers to split a case with.

I have a Goex distributor 51 miles from the house. I'm going to call and see if I can buy by the lb from them. I'll ride up on the Motorcycle and bring back what I can in the saddlebags! Seems like gas will be more for a gallon than powder by the # soon..........Mike

same state? we went to pa.(from n.y.) to get powder,,saved shipping and hazmat fees,,but had to pay pa. sales tax instead ...

You can own as much as you want under federal law as long as you have a powder magazine that meets BATF specifications and is certified by them. That is the reason a lot of stores do not carry it. They don't want to go to the expense and hassle to build a magazine.

I have a limit of 5 lb bp in illinois but can store 25 lb smokeless stupid laws I noticed that the goex is trying to reclassify bp did this happen or will it happen? If so maybe the price will go down? I looked into jacks powder keg but have to call to see if he can ship to illinois, we will see. It is apples and oranges since on price around here it is 17.00 a pound for swiss or goex.
