3)Covering a roundball with powder in the palm of your hand will give you a good powder charge.
4)The patch for a roundball is a perfect gasket, not allowing any gasses to blow past the ball.

10. Blackpowder dies after a while so that 150 year old powder in the barrel of this original gun can't possibly fire!
 
10a. Black powder guns can't shoot as good as centerfire guns.

10b. Round balls can only kill at close range.

10c. You can use any kind of powder in a muzzleloader and it will shoot.
 
10D-With black powder the strength settles to the bottom, if you don't shake it up, occasionally, when you get to the bottom you'll have a bomb. :bull:

10F You need a musket cap* to get reliable ignition in a percussion firearm. (* substitute 209 primer, "Hot" cap or Hot Shot Nipple as desired).

10G Priming the nipple with a few grans of powder will help ignition.

10H Any mechanical item or patented thingy invented in the past 120 years adds to the lifestyle of muzzleloading.
