Well, hunting season is comming to a hault for most states...

What did you end up with?

How many Deer?
How many Rabbits?
How many Squirrels?
How many other animals did you harvest?

Are your freezers full?

I can't see the sneaky white hares (do my domestic rabbits count?)

The little Red squirrels are no sport with a firearm.

The grouse population is at the low end of its cycle.

The deer suffered at the hands of my son and I; three each, but mine were bigger. We just hunt on my 100 acres so that's a pretty good haul for this year.

No, but they sure can multiply. HAHAHAHAHA!

Don't be peekin in my game bag just yet. We got near another month o' small game to go. Two deer, but that musket were a breechloader slug gun. Saw a passel o'bunnies during bow season, but they vanished by the time I got back with my M/L. Couple gray squirrels so far, but I mostly just like to get out and toss balls at tree fungus, stump bark and such. Don't have to clean them.

Besides, (he says rubbin his chin wiskers) I didn't see no numbers volunteered by the questioner.

Aye, there be no numbers given from the Musketman.

"Hisself, spoke to the animals and said, 'Be fruitful and multiply.' And the ameba said, 'We don't want to multiply, we want to divide.' And Hisself said, 'Then multiply by dividing.'"

I hit a large doe with a Ford Windstar...

I figure it cost me about $400 a pound by the time my wife's van was totaled...

I didn't go hunting this year, many reasons too numerous too type out... :(

P.S. Stumpkiller: You got tiger squirrels in your neck of the woods? ::

Well, I had a very poor season this year. Early on, I let two does walk. I never saw another deer! Wild hogs, I saw only one as it ran across the road in front of me.
I bagged a few squirrels. I saw quite a few turkey, and hope I will see them again in the spring!
In '02 I had an exceptional hunting season. Got both a nice buck and good wild boar. Had plenty of meat.
But, now the starving time is upon me.

Deer one doe & one buck 10 cotton tails 4 fox squirrel. We have till the end of March to hunt Rabbits and squirrel but the snow is to deep right now and by the time it melts they will be carrying young. Ever dress a rabbit that had babbies in it. I did late last year and I won't do it again. Rocky /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

1 tom3 does1 buckScore on the squirrels : hunter 0 Squirrels 2 and hit 2 does that we couldn't find. Just had a cheese steak from the hams boy was that good.

Freezer was still in pretty good shape from last season, so I collected only 2 does, 1 Tom, 18-20 squirrels.

I did wreak havoc on the blackbird population though. They scatter when they even hear or see anyone around my place. That's the way I like it.

Excellent two weeks vacation in November hunting the rut:
8 pointer - .54cal flintlock;
8 and 7 pointers - .50cal flintlock;
6 pointer - .45cal flintlock;

Only 35 weeks til the early NC ML season opens again and I got permission to hunt the same farm with the big clearcut again! ::
