Toting a long flinter on a kayak

I don't want to draw this thread out too much, so if it's boring y'all please forgive me. Just thought I'd let ya know I've got a line on a sailmaker who I'm told will waterproof sunbrella and make just about anything. If that's true I'll have a soft case custom made for me. (I'll test it out with something first to be sure it really is waterproof.) Could be a waiting list, but I'll pass on my experience if it works out. And especially if it doesn't!
