Thought that title would get some attention! Does anyone here know, or has anyone tried to have Track of the Wolf (or any other barrel seller who does some modest gunsmithing) put together a drop in 32", octogon to round, .62 barrel. One that is set up like any other drop in barrel (blued, tradional sights, breech, thimbles, and ramrod) ready to go out of the box. Sure seems like there would be a market for it. I know they sell .62 smoothbore barrels. But they look heavy. What do you think?

Hey Taylor,
I'll try and take a picture of a octagon to round long rifle that Brad Emig made up for me many moons ago. The rifle handles great, it is .62 cal.
A little brutal at the bench, but ok offhand.
I really like the rifle.
Best Regards.

Texan -my friend had one made at The Gun Works (.com) in Springfield, OR. It's a great looking 30" barrel for his Renegade & a good shooter.

Is there a benefit to barrels made by The Gun Works, over the ones that GM makes as drop-ins for the TC Renegade & Hawken?

Is the barrel an octogon to round barrel or just a six sided barrel like what can be purchased from GM?
