Hey gang,
Here are a few pics of a project just completed. A 40 cal. Jacob Dickert created from a Track kit with some modifications. I had help on the technical side and with the esthetics. The idea was to create an original looking piece. I am anxious to hear your thoughts. I’ve been lurking here and really enjoy reading all the posts. Please be honest in your review.

The bag, but not the horn. Been messing with some stuff, pan charger out of antler, short staffed out of antler and a flint wallet. Maybe I can post some pics

Very nice! I really like dark finishes and you managed a nice dark finish without hiding that beautiful grain.
Very good looking build. Any shooter would be proud to hang that one on display.

The finish is Aquafortis heated slowly fairly good heat ( industrial gun) then 7 coats of hand rubbed linseed oil to date.

I'll get some more pics of the complete rifle up when I get some good ones. Best thing is she shoots straight. 9 ring , 25 yards offhand first shot. No sight adjustment of load build yet. 40 grains 3f .389 ball .015 ticking. She is now engraved "old no. 9" on the wrist inlay. Lol.
