Marmotslayer, where do yoou shoot? I'm looking for a formal place to shoot. Boulder rifle club has a range about 10 minutes from here, but I'm not sure how a flint would be accepted.

Mike, I have been a member of Golden Gun Club (GGC) for many years. Even back when we were in Golden. :haha: Our club is now about four miles south of Watkins. Am familiar with the location of Boulder Rifle Club but do not know how they receive rock locks. I know they do a lot of service rifle shooting.

GGC embraces all forms of shooting. We have a monthl ML match on the last Sunday of each month. Non-members are welcome at the various formal matches we put on.

Am taking this off topic, but if you PM me I'll be happy to give you more info about bp shooting in your area.

I ordered a fowler kit from TOW a few years back. I got all the parts in pretty short order with the exception of the stock. I was told it was on back order. I was ok with that. What I was not happy about was being told it will be here next week. Week after Week, for almost 8 months.
I ended up ordering a fowler stock from Pecatonica. I ordered a CM2 and had it a week later. I was blown away by the figure on the wood. I'm by no means a builder but it was pretty to me. The barrel fit right into the channel with just alittle wood removal. The lock fit perfect and they were a joy to work with. When it comes time to build a rifle I will not hesitate to order from them again. i just need to figure out what I'm gonna build. A lancaster or a transitional Or a Jeager or a.....

Sorry I kinda lost my train of thought.

Anybody thinking about building a TOW kit. Give me a PM and i'll give you a link. I can't post it on the forum, but it may open your eyes about what it takes to build one of their kits. It might open your eyes about a few other things too.
