I have been using tow for a while for cleaning and for use as wadding in my guns and quite enjoy it. But I am about out and am curious where our members are buying their tow for good prices? Thanks in advance!

I agree 100%! For 'real' flax I buy mine from the Woolery. Generally the best price for the real thing. Otherwise I buy sisal rope and separate and cut the fibers. It works awesome as wadding but not as good as real flax for cleaning. For cleaning with a proper worm you need good flax.I do prefer tow made from flax fibers. Finding it can be difficult. The use of hemp, jute, sisal or manila twine will be almost as good as flax tow.
A pound can be purchased from the Woolery. A pound would probably last for most lifetimes and grand children might still be using it.
