And that is exactly why I only use them for small items that are not important.

You might try another vender & see if their stock is inlet for the same trim. Otherwise you may be stuck.

I suggest calling Tip Curtis & see if he has what you need. (615) 654-4445. Tell him what you are wanting & what trim & barrel & lock you have & he may have a stock that will be inlet for it.

Same here. Got my hardware items quickly. Stock was 2+ months. I did learn that Pecatonica River Long Rifle Supply is the 3rd party supplier for TOTW. TOTW has always been timely in all of my other orders.

Hey all, just saw this post and was wondering if the stock when ordered showed "in stock"? I'm looking at their Leman rifle and says the stock is in stock, but want to make sure that is true! I REALLY don't want to wait 6 months for the stock. Thanks all,

Mike

call 'em.
they've always been pretty friendly and square with me on the phone about what's in stock and wait times.

Best call them first and then order on the phone.
I have found they ship a couple days later when you use the net.

If it says it's in stock it probably is. If not in stock it will say so or say accepting orders. Go ahead and call. They do seem to get it on the way quicker thast way.I've waited around 5 or 6 months for a fowler stock. I ended up ordering one from Pecatonica. They don't make Tracks fowler but I didn't really care. I just wanted a stock.

My experience has been 100% were in stock.

I've placed about 10 orders at ToTW in the last 18 months or so, a total of perhaps 50 items, ranging from a Kentucky pistol kit to a bag of unplated screws. Everything I ordered was shown in stock, and I received my order complete within a few days.

For items not in stock, you can ask to be notified when the item becomes available.

When ordering on-line, you can see the complete order, which seems to me to be more convenient than reading off a list of stock numbers on the 'phone.

Many suppliers don't stock precarves because of the warpage problem. A few years back I promptly rec'd an in stock precarve from a supplier and the forend was warped and twisted, so I sent the entire kit back and they refunded my money. Must be an awful lot of guys building MLers judging from the longer delivery times on both bbls and precarves....Fred

I was told that there is a backlog in barrels because GM is concentrating on the military, and the others are having to make up the slack. I think it was Jeff(?) at TOW that told me that. I had ordered all the parts for a Verner and almost all was backordered, so I went to another supplier.
