Old thread, I know. But too many here think that Traditions/CVA and Lyman are junk because they are imports and don' t completely follow HC/PC. They are accurate at the target and reliable..
I don’t care about a gun’s pedigree…is it accurate, and comfortable to carry on a trek or in the field. Those are my asks…
 
I received a Traditions DeerHunter around 1990 and shot that little rifle and killed deer with it for nearly 20 years. Traditions barrels are excellent and can hold their own against "named" barrels. The percussion is simple and WORKS great. The flint lock may need tuning but can give fine service in the bush.
