I use a.490 ball, .015 patch and crisco. I have used the .020 pillow ticking also and other than being harder to start I didn't see any difference in accuracy. I wipe every 5-6 shots depending on the mood (I can't say that I actually count)but do notice groups opening up around the 5th shot. I like everything about crisco as a lube except it is really greasy when its hot out and gets everywhere, so I keep a couple of towels with me at the range. I pre-lube rolls of pillow ticking and cut at the barrel. Pre cut patches help keep the mess down but I find it more economical of time and money to do the former.
