You're really going to like it.I just ordered the Traditions percussion Trapper from Muzzeloader.com for $299. Total was $320 with insurance and shipping. Can't wait till it gets here.
It is definitely too muzzle heavy for one-handed stances used in target shooting, but it's accurate. A good two-handed stance works well with it, so even if it doesn't do well for target shooting, it'll do well for hunting.If anything it is overbuilt. For target work, it is heavier and clunkier than it needs to be. I shaved a few ounces off mine, but it only improved slightly. The TC patriot is a better balanced more graceful gun. Sold my trapper for a better target gun.
