Going on vacation YEA!
Taking a couple of flinters with me (going to Whittington Center) and will be passing through several states (CA, AZ, NM, CO, UT, NV). Are there any legal issues in any states regarding traveling through with bp? Is the stuff illegal anywhere? Cant wait to go, been over two years...

No problem in Arizona that I'm aware of except the gun can't be "concealed".
Concealed means that you can get rapid, easy access to it but it is not visible under normal conditions.

This is talking mainly about handguns so just think of it this way:
If it is under the front seat or in a unlocked glove box it is concealed.
If it is laying on top of your car seat or on your dash board it is not concealed.
If it is in the trunk, it is not concealed.
If it is in your suitcase in the back seat of the car, it is not concealed.

The only way to "conceal" a flintlock long gun that I can think of is if it was within easy arms reach and covered by a blanket.

In general, Arizona is a very gun friendly state.

Enjoy!! :)

Thanks for the reply. I was wondering more about transporting/having stuff like GOEX. Mainly wondering if it is illegal anywhere (you know, wacky laws, like in San Francisco). As for transporting, I figure if I lock up everything unloaded I'm ok.
I can't wait to get out of The Peoples Republic of California, even if it is only for two weeks or so...

I haven't heard of any Arizona law against people transporting Black Powder in the state and I've lived here for 55 years (shooting black powder for about 35 years).
