I'd keep my eye open for a good used TC Patriot too if I was you, especially if you can find one in .36 cal.
I picked up a good used one in .45 cal for I think 175.00 about a decade ago from a shooting buddy that got it at a gun show or garage sale, if I remember correctly.

A Patriot in .45 cal.:Note the spur and stock bump. Both guns share a lot of the same features.

One of the best features of the Patriot is the firing trigger is in the rear so one does not have to distort his grip to reach for the forward trigger which is the usual set up for double set triggers.

Yes the Patriot would be a sweet shooter to have. But I need a .50 cal or larger for legal huntin in Pa.

I have one in percussion. I found that the extension on the trigger guard actually helps with a 2 hand hold and the swell on the butt does help with hand placement. The only complaint is that the sights are so thin that they are hard to see in poor light. I plan to install a wider front sight and file the rear sight notch wider. Fun gun.I enjoy it.

I just got one of these very generously gifted to me by a friend. I was going to order a few extra flints for it. What size works best? I was reading 5/8 but noticed that TOTW sells a couple different lengths in the 5/8. Thanks!
