I picked this old 10 bore up from a friend of mine about a month ago, and he told me it needed some work done on the left lock. I sent the lock to Cabin Creek, Brad worked his magic, and for about three times what I paid for the whole gun, it got back a beautifully functioning lock.

However, when I installed the lock, it appears that the rear trigger isn’t engaging with the sear. I’m really not sure what to do here. In the photos you can see how much more travel the front trigger has than the rear. Any ideas of what I can do. I’ve got enough sunk into this old gun now that I’d really like to get it shooting.

I'm not completely sure what I am seeing, but I have remedied the same problem by soldering on a piece of steel to the trigger flag and filing it down to where it engages the sear just where I want it. What gives me wonder is how it ever functioned in its current condition.

Thanks, that's what I was considering doing, but I wanted some other opinions to make sure I wasn't missing anything.
