triple 7 2fg in cap n ball

please tell me I didn't waste 30 bucks!wally world only carrys 2fg. triple 7.just read on there website to be used only with 209 primers.i have Winchester magnum 11 percussion caps,to be used with a 1858 old army.can I expect misfires or am I obsessing over nothing?if so can I do a duplex load?i guess fire works are in order if not.heading to the woods tomorrow,will try one shot first(better than trying to pull 5 balls)thanks!

Your obsessing over nothing. It's a sporting grade powder so back off the charge a bit.

thanks,im kinda poor so good to know I didn't waste 30 hard earned dollars!been using an empty 38 brass with 2fg scheuctzen BP,(brass frame light loads)would this still be acceptable for a brass frame?thanks

I think you'll be alright, just don't make it a heaping full case, if anything just under the brim.

SC, You did well. I used 20 grains of T7 in my stainless Traditions 1858 before I found some Goex 3Fg. I could not tell the difference in performance........robin :hmm:

cool beans,went to the woods today and I was very satisfied,was consistently nailing beer cans at 30 foot more or less,in terms of consistant accuracy and low fouling I think it trumps pyrodex and scheuzten BP fwiw

The chronograph does and it's huge.

Despite reducing his load by ~15% Triple 7 still well out performed standard Goex. It would be another story compared to Swiss or Olde Eynsford where they all perform more similarly.
