I'm in the process of finishing and have first sealed with Permalyn Sealer then stained a couple of coats with Laurel Mountain stain and was going to then seal again with Permalyn Sealer, but thought about maybe putting a few coats of Tru-Oil on then finish off with Permalyn. Has anyone used Permalyn over the Tru-Oil and if so how was the results.
Thanks for any info.

Not quite but I used LMF stain, Permalyn SEALER then Tru Oil.

Worked out just fine.

Partner,

If you stain it FIRST I think it will work

alot better.

I stain first

seal with Tru-oil diluted 50 %

Hand rub 6-10 coats Tru-oil

Finish up with rotten stone -- Paste wax

Do a search here. There is much good info

Well..I'm going to find out how it works to stain it second..cause I already sealed it first and stained second and ain't about to sand it off..not this season anyway. I think I will do a test pc. with permalyn, stain, Tru-Oil and Permalyn vs no Tru-Oil.
