I only use plastic wads of varying manufacturers in my TC New Englander, TC Tree Hawk and Pedersoli 12 sxs and have never had wads melting issues. I do use a nitro card”over powder” card and the wad sits atop it! I would not use TSS through a choked barrel though. I have never used TSS in my muzzleloaders but have in my unmentionables. Ballistic Products has a great wad for using the harder shot of today. It’s called their TPS and you can also get Mylar wraps to create more security. They make these in 10, 12, 20, 28 and .410 guage. Hope this helps, Reds
