What is a good way to keep a turkey spur from looking old? Seems like my first set of spurs, the actual "coating" on the spur itself is frosty looking. I just cleaned them up and put them on a string a few years ago. Any suggestions?

Try rubbing them down with just a touch of mineral oil about twice a year. That way the material of the spur stays moist(sort of)and doesn't dry out n start to flake on ya. just a suggustion YMHS Birdman
