TVM Smoothbores?

Im thinking of ordering a smoothbore from tvm does anyone have good pics or comments about their fowler or tulle? Thanks Denny

Their attempt at a French gun could pass as a French fusil of some sort but not a De Chase from Tulle,furniture and barrel described are wrong.Their write up on these guns mixes the type C and D thing with the Tulle Fusils and is not very accurate.The guns themselves are likely a quality servicable gun that will provide years of use, if history is of importance there are better choices.

I have their fowler. I like it very much thank you. It's attractive, reliable (always goes bang) and affordable.
I have only two pictures of the right and left sides of the butt.

I also have one of their fowlers. I've taken rabbits, and squirrels with #6 shot and deer with a .600 patched ball. You won't be disappointed. :thumbsup:

I have their Fowler , just finished it a few weeks ago. price wasn't bad. I wanted something to hunt turkeys with so I had the barrel jug choked full.I was looking for something that wasn't to costly because I know its going to get a little beat up from running and gunning. :v

If you order a Tulle with a walnut stock, be careful. I ordered one a couple of years ago and it arrived with a knot in the forearm of the stock. Rather than refusing delivery (knowing it was flawed), I accepted it because I was anxious to have a Tulle. Naturally, after a few rounds, the stock cracked where the knot was. I sent it back and said I wanted a new stock. JG glued it and sent it back without even checking with me to discuss pricing, etc., of a new stock. I sold the d*** thing. Based on that experience, I won't do business with him again. For someone who makes a business assembling and selling muzzle loaders, I don't understand why he'd even think about selling bad wood like that. Still, I'm as much to blame by accepting it. In fairness, though, my son got a smoothbore fowler at the same time and he's very pleased with it.

Is everybody in this thread talking about the same "TVM" ??

Is JG Jack Garner? If so I think thats Tennessee Valley Manufacturing. I had a Jack Garner gun once and had alot of trouble with it also. Tennessee Valley Muzzleloading is Matt Avance and they stand behind their work.
