Ron Ehlert/ American Pioneer Video

In this two-video set, gunmaker Ron Ehlert assembles and finishes two York rifle kits. One is made with a sliding wooden patchbox, the other with an engraved brass patchbox. One with double set triggers, the other with a single trigger. There is much close-up detail shown that applies to gunmaking in general. This is another very worth while tape to get and refer back to when you get stuck and need to figure something out. Very informative.

I suggest you buy a Siler or a Chambers Siler built in his shop, as it has a lifetime warranty on parts. No way would I use a L&R if I had the choice because of past warranty problems with them.

I plan on it. If this project goes OK I'm going to try a smoothbore. Either a NW Trade gun style or the 1690 French Marine from Loyalist Arms. But, first things first.I'm really impatient to get this project goin'.Still saving the money. I'm sure I'll be back with a ton of questions when I get it goin. If it comes out nice enough to show in public I'll post pics on here. DALE
