I’m currently looking to purchase a Uberti revolving carbine, also seen described as an 1858 Remington revolving carbine, As a reference, I can back order one new for $580. If you happen to have a used one collecting dust, let me know.

Thanks in advance.

There a cpl of them on GB right now. I want one too, But I just got a Ruger Old Army a cpl wks ago.

@Ninering62 thanks for the heads up, took a look, but fortunately I’m in no rush and still looking for a deal. I’m on a back order list for a new one. The buy it now one for $850 is crazy and the used one for $450 is close enough to the back ordered price that I’ll just wait for new.

Thats a good thing about not really needing it urgently. I’m in the market closer to $350 for a well used one as eventually a Taylor conversion will be in its future as well.

You're welcome. I'm sooooo with ya on the not bein in an urgent state of mind with many things I want. I went from bein young & healthy & makin enough money to do & buy most anything I wanted, then nearly got killed & am half crippled up & almost 60 & on a F-me small disability. So everything I do must be budget-minded. The Ruger Old Army I just got was actually gifted to me from a brother I met in Mich in Modern Muzzleloader. He had 2 & decided to share one with me. Super cool! I've wanted a smokeless rig for yrs now, but could not afford one. Another MML member sold me a Donor Omega ( my fav ML, I've had 3 of them ) for dirt cheap & I put some funds together over the last 2 yrs & sold a cpl things to pay for a new Boyds stock for it & a .40 1:14 Brux barrel & its at the builders since Aug. I've really wanted to get a Rem 700ML to convert to a SML, but the prices of them ( what would just be a donor action & bolt, maybe trigger, maybe ) is now waaay to much money. Once again, a fellow MML member posted 2 of them I I was able to get both for what one is selling for on GB right now. So when the .40 Omega Sml is done, I'll start on a 700ml build either in .45 1:18 or .375 cal. Best wishes on finding a deal on somethin ya like.

Are you the same fnfalguy from GlockTalk?

@TScottW99 I don’t think I’ve logged into Glocktalk for 10+ years or something along those lines. I don’t recall what I used for a username there back in the day, but probably the same as the Fal files which is hydrotx

I could be wrong, but I think they were also called the " Cattleman's Carbine " I'm trying to make a leather scabbard for mine. I can tell you from experience that it is an awesome close in backup weapon. 20 years ago I bought mine for 425. It was fully worth the money.

Also, if you get one, order up a spare cylinder. By lowering the changing arm, you can slide the center pin out and roll in a charged cylinder in no time.
