I still, technically, own one, though my son has had it for over 15 years. They are good shooters, but even with a .526 ball and .015 patching, it was a little tight. IMHO, a .530 ball, even with a thin patch, might need a mallet to get it down the bore.
I darn near bought that rifle but in a rare moment of clarity I remembered I'm already Hawken heavy. I put a kit version of this gun together years ago and traded it before I shot it. I got the short end of the trade when I did it too.
