This should help a bit. And remember H&A used two different nipple thread pitches during the time they made them, back in the day I visited their place.

I also have one in 12g with the Numrich Arms stamped on it. I'm really not sure when they made a 12g and I know that the barrels are interchangeable and one could basically put ANY barrel on it as long as the breech is tapped for the (I Believe) 5/8x18 H&A breech plug. But this one has Numrich on it so its a mystery to me but i do love it and can't wait for sept. squirrel season again.....

Go to the photo in post 12 and look at the tip of the trigger, the intersection of the red line and the blue line. The photo is in the full cock position. If the tip of your trigger does not look exactly like that it may be broken off. If so it will not engage the full cock notch. This is a fairly common thing to happen as with a slow trigger pull they often hit the half cock notch breaking them. I've done it myself and I have a few triggers that are broken that way that came with some parts. Triggers, hammers and trigger springs show up on eBay from time to time and they seem to be worth $25 +/- each. Deer creek may also have a few parts, worth a call.

Give Deer Creek a call. Many years ago they bought all the H&A parts from Numrich Arms, and were selling the underhammers. However, that was before the present owners bought the company. A while back they told me that they were going to be selling kits for them but I haven't seen anything about that on their website. On the phone they may be able to help you: 765-525-6181

Pecatonica River sells a H&A Underhammer kit (http://longrifles-pr.com/underhammer.shtml), and they may be able to help you with parts. It looks like you need the trigger return spring.

My first M/L rifle was a Heritage model I bought in 1968, and I have regretted selling it. It was a dandy, .45 and shot better than I could. As mentioned, wear a long sleeve shirt or you will get a black tattoo on your forearm. They came in (going from memory) .36, .45, .50 or .54 if my close-to-80 memory is still good.... And if you want to get rid of it, let me know!
