If it doesn’t work out for a gunstock, knife handles or box calls for turkey would make those items to pop.

Any idea what you’d call the figure in this sugar maple? It’s just wide enough to squeeze a gun stock out of and I think this would really make a one of a kind stock.

Unless you are a top notch stock maker I would sale it to someone that is! The price of the wood is valuable due to its uniqueness and will bring a pretty penny!

Yes, quite valuable. This is a piece of offcut that was 1/4x6x36 that as I recall the guy paid $65. for some yrs. back.
