Unknown powder flask. Origin?

Hi everybody

20 years ago (or more?) I got this unusual powder flask made of brass. It is about 5 inches long.





I do not know where it came from or where it has been made.

In a french auction platform I found a similar flask, which is said to be from Morocco or North Africa. What ist your opinion about this little flask?

Might it be a priming flask? Or is it for beauty powder?

An object made for tourists?

That´s a really extremly good, rare and interesting horn.
The mechanism of the charger is a patent of T. Hicks & G.W. Weatherwax of St. Josephs, Michigan

A got a french flask made by BOCHE A PARIS with this type of charger

Looks like this thread just got hijacked.
Anyway, the OP’s flask looks really interesting. I could not begin to guess it’s origin, but it looks like something I would imagine an early Italian renaissance one might look like.

$433US, he’s got a lot of interesting stuff and is A1 to deal with; I’ve bought two pistols and a flask from him and he’s open to a bit of negotiation.
