UPS has outdone itself. I'm actually impressed by how massive of a failure this is, even Kiblers famous crates are no match! INSURE YOUR STUFF FOLKS!

This crate has a reinforcement down the center inside. The handle is at the balance point for easy handling. The contents are well padded. I don't know what more I could do other than make it out of steel plate. We'll see what happens.

Glad you had insurance, but it is still going to take months to get a replacement made.
90% chance it was intentional.

I don’t suppose you even got a note of apology about the damage.
Did they even send information about how to file a damage claim?
If they didn’t, it means more than one person in the chain of command doesn’t give a rat’s a**.
UNBELIEVABLE ! ! ! !

We had a folding ladder delivered. The card board box was all tore up. Tire marks the full length on both sides. I think some idiot thought their was a gun inside. Even though the picture of the ladder was marked on the outside. Luckily the UPS store care of it. I swear if they think theirs a chance of a gun in the box. They purposely try to destroy it...!
Not saying the delivery driver damaged it, but did he have anything to say about the situation?

Another one of my hobbies is building scale model planes, some as commissions that I ship to other states. I have packed models in a way that I can’t see how they would arrive undamaged. Unfortunately once in a while one arrives damaged with clear signs of King Kong handling it specially the USPS. I have had better luck using FedEx and never marking FRAGILE, which puts a bullseye on that package!! 🤨

Some people WANT to get fired. Either they want back on unemployment, they lost a court judgment and have to pay up, our need an extension on non payment of child support. I’ve seen it all.

No matter how many $$$$$ you insure for, if the Ins. Co. won't pay OR it's so much of a PITA to try to collect, why bother. There HAS to be a way to go after the worthless POS people doing the damage. If there's cameras everywhere to see what's going on and no one does anything about it, sounds like it's time for a group of folks to get together and SUE THE HELL out of UPS or whoever is shipping the goods.
Everybody is crying the blues but nothing gets done. Just like politics. Time for some ACTION!! And anybody that has lost $$$ from the Ins. shipping thang needs to get MAD AS HELL and go after the shipper!!
You insure for DOUBLE the value but if you never get paid, why bother. The package in question was intentionally damaged, didn't just get knocked off the belt. Thinking a CLASS ACTION Suit just might get a little action??

The last rifle I shipped or had shipped to me, NO PROBLEMS. Needed a builder, found one and shipped my partial kit to him along with $$$ till he hollered UNCLE!!
Finished rifle came to me inside a custom made 1" X 4" framed box, 6' long.
Rifle was packed in insulation spray in foam. Came USPS with tracking and I told the boys at the PO to notify me when it came in, hold it and rather than it ride around in the back of the mail truck, I would come and pick it up.
Not a mark on it. The builder must have been in the furniture making business cause he did a BEAUTIFUL packing job!! EVERYBODY needs a packing box like that!
With elections, don't like how someone is doing their job, VOTE THEM OUT!!!
Same with UPS or whoever is doing the shipping. CLASS ACTION lawsuit just might build a fire and get some changes. Only know if you try.
Fed EX shipped a RC flying model to me. Box looked like someone dropped a refrigerator on it. Broken in half. One call and a few pictures sent and I got a replacement. SOMEONE paid for the replacement. Part of doing business??? No wonder prices of most thing keep going up.

I have also had my hair raising experience with every shipping moron that can sit behind a wheel and it is truly hart breaking to just see what kind of Damage they are capable of because it’s not there’s and they don’t care. Sorry for your experience but at least it was insured. RIP for sure…

Were dealing with guns here so don't expect any sympathy from the PC crowd. A class action lawsuit is a waste of time for the victims. I have supposedly been a victim in several class action lawsuits. The last one for the settlement I got a check for $1.63. The lawyers got 100 million dollars.

Most of us have seen the "inexpensive" hard plastic, foam lined cases for modern type guns. What surprises me is that no one has come out with a simple, hard plastic, telescoping container that would allow different longer lengths to be shipped. The container could be re-used almost indefinitely.
