I was told Indy was relocating it's building and this was the reason for all the delays and black out tracking. Lots of complaints from folks around here in Indiana.

UPS ground has been really good for me shipping muzzleloaders always on time undamaged and much cheaper than USPS and FedEx. Regular UPS is kind of high though. I use that Pirate ship app, once you plug in the address and how much insurance it will spit out the prices for each carrier. Avoid FedEx Ground, they are contractors to FedEx and they don't care about your package and any sort of timeline.

UPS has been nothing but a disaster where I live. I've had no problems with USPS and FedEx.
When I first moved to this rural area, I wasn't receiving any packages from UPS even though the UPS website showed "package left on front porch." Security cameras did not show anyone driving down our driveway.
One day I had to drive into town. I drove down our road, turned onto the next road, and saw a pile of packages laying on the side of the road. They were all of my missing packages.
UPS admitted they had been leaving my packages on the side of the road because it wasn't profitable to drive all the way to my house.

Those are 10,000 workers that aren't doing their jobs. The Post Offices budget last year was 78 billion.

I remember the good old days( like 5 years ago), when a package sent priority mail to almost anywhere in the U.S. 48 would arrive in three days.

It's not just USPS. Ordered some silver from a company in NYC. 2 Day priority. Shipped out on 3/3. Got to a hub in NJ, went out came back and sat there until I called customer service on Tuesday 3/11 about my package. Wouldn't you know I got an email on Wednesday ar 4:45 AM that my package was out for delivery. I am only 70 miles from that distribution center.

For those of you hoping to see the Post Office operation being privatized...the only screwed up USPS operations I'm aware of have come from offices that were privatized. My sister in NH is constantly dealing with issues of non-delivery due to privatized carriers. In my neck of the woods (central NYS), we still have a full service, government operated USPS facility. While I won't say there's never been a problem, when there has been, it's been quickly dealt with and the problem was solved; never to raise it's ugly head again.
Besides, the Postal Office was never meant to be a business. It's a service. Yes, it should pay for itself but Ben Franklin didn't set it up to be a profit generating operation. Just something to think about.
One last thing; the Post Office is the only operation required to deliver mail everywhere in the country. Fed Ex, UPS, etc. have no mandate to deliver to locations they're not interested in going to. The USPS doesn't have that luxury. They are required to deliver the mail anywhere and everywhere in the United States. That places a tremendous amount of work into the system as they can't say no.

I was the guy who shipped the Zouave to Annapolis, MD. Lots of prayer about it, and yes, I believe the prayer worked, because by some miracle it finally got to the new owner ----- intact! I shipped out of the Main Post Office in Shreveport, LA. They have one lady working the counter. She also doubles as the "passport" administrator. No way only one person should be handling all that. In addition, USPS is now delivering Amazon packages. Funny how I never seem to get my mail on Saturday, but my Amazon packages arrive Saturdays and Sundays, on time. USPS needs a full audit, and re-evaluation to0 make it anywhere near a minimum efficiency. Simply put, It sucks!
It might help. Some companys iv worked for, there was people there, that if they would be gotten rid of, it would be like gaining two good workers.

The Post Office could get rid of those 10,000 and still not get rid of all the mail stealing thieves that work for them and that doesn't even take into consideration the ones that do nothing or are actively anti firearm.
I have been doing a lot of thinking and praying over this package. I believe it probably got stolen. I mean the shape and length of the box wouldn't be hard to decipher what was in it. Or what is in any package like it. I hope that if it is theives stealing mail they are caught and prosecuted. I'll wait to see what my missing mail ticket uncovers. But I can't make my buyer wait much longer. A few more days and I will have to refund his money and move on.

I shipped a package a week ago that is still sitting in the Jackson, Ms. office and it hasn’t even been scanned since it arrived there.
I have heard but cannot confirm that the Jackson post master was fired along with some other employees a few weeks ago. When the new USPS officials arrived they found quite a large number of packages that were stacked everywhere and had been sitting there for a number of weeks. Is this due to budget constraints? Personnel shortages? Nepotism? Incompetence? Mismanagement?
This is truly ridiculous. Whether Ben Franklin set the thing up as a service or not has nothing to do with anything. That was over 200 years ago and the American people can and should expect more from that $78 billion than what we have.

This is the worst year I've ever seen. But, packages that have been in limbo are eventually delivered. Well, for me anyway. They haven't lost anything so far, just ridiculous delays. Puts buyers and sellers in undue distress.
Ever since the idiots running the post office started allowing companies and drivers that don’t have a background check to haul mail, stuff disappears. When you have tons of non English speakers and what have you, the “sanctity of the seal”, as they call it has gone away.
ups claims they delivered my wife's Christmas to our door 12/17 yesterday my neighbor says there's packages with my name on them in his junk pu that sits in pasture for parts.

The bad thing is how much money postal employees make. I suppose most working people don't believe they're well paid, but I guarantee most postal employees receive a king's ransom compared to what my NAPA salary was. They need to remember as long as we pay our taxes we pay their salary.
