I have for sale a Type 1 1858 cadet musket. This has been researched and studied by leading collectors. This musket is one of only 1,500 ever made! And, it’s marked to New Jersey, in that regard one of only 110 with such markings! Now, the bad news. Someone converted this from the correct 1855 Maynard lock to a 1863 dated lock. Still, an original and valuable 1863 lock. These muskets complete go for $4,000-$6,000. Here is your chance to own a rare civil war musket for a fraction of that value. This musket could be restored if so desired. I inquired about it but decided on a sale. Leave as is or restored, you can own a musket that is rarely encountered.
For this very rare musket, $2,750 shipped to your door. Trades or part trades welcomed. I collect other civil war arms and carbines.
