I just refinished my Traditions KY pistol using the vinegar stain method, in addition I faux striped it which you should be able tell form the picture. Barrle was browned using Homer Danglers Cold Brown.

The stripes were painted on vinegar stain, using a small artist brush and painted on in multiple coats. Then painted the entire stock with one coat of stain, then re did the stripes 2 more times and a final overall coat of stain, heated with a hand held propane torch (lightly) and then allowed to dry and then 3 coats of Formbys tung oil followed by two coats of Johnsons pas :results:te wax.
