I have a London Fine Twisted. Several parts were changed. I am going to return it to its former glory. Most importantly the nipples are wrong and don't line up with the hammers.

I am not a fault finder but I would like to point out your gun was never made by W Richards some time in the past that gun was built from bits of other guns plus modern Belgium castings .

Those aren't the hammers that came with the gun. Bend them to fit.

Yes. That is a standard solution for most of the black powder hammer misalignment problems. I am looking for suggestions and critiques before I tear into it.i believe this piece has no value beyond what I put into it.

I agree with Feltwad. I have put together several of these English double barrels just to shot and hunt with they fit me better and handle better than the Reproduction guns..

So on to the refurbishment...Suggestions for screws and the nipples...

I have been looking at both TOW and Dixie. I am going to measure the threads as these are not the original nipples. The hammers are substantial and may be very difficult to bend into the proper alignment. They are close though. Bottom shelf strikes the caps. I also noticed that the left lock has no half cock sear built in. The right lock does.

As stated those aren't the original hammers W Richards was an early clone /knockoff of the famous Westley Richards gun company. I had one many moons ago and they aren't all that bad as shotguns go.
The hammers can be easily bent to contact the nipples, you need a good torch to keep the heat localized to only the area you want to bend.

I believe this is a William Richards design. I have all of the tools and have done quite a bit of work. The research and knowledge is the most valuable tool...

Gun should have a half cock compare left lock to right side. And file a notch in the tumbler of it. If it doesn't already have one.

Agreed. working on the nipple setup. Not sure of the threads on this one.

All of the E English ones I have are 1/4" fine TOW sells them in oversized from +.05 thru .25

I just tried my thread gauge on them. M6 metric but I am leaning towards 1/4 by 28. Sound right?
