Wad + Patch Combo for Breech Cleaning

This likely isn't a new idea, but for really cleaning the corners of a flat-faced breech, I've found that the combo of a felt revolver wad plus the cleaning patch helps get all the fouling out of the corners. Most brass jags are somewhat rounded, so they're not too sharp, and that can leave some junk in the corners/edges. But by putting a felt revolver wad (.45 in the image) on top of the jag, and then putting on the patch over it, the slight compression of the wad better then allows the patch to clean the breech face where it meets the barrel.

Note that some of the scrapers are combo'ed with a jag-type body so the scraper can be used with a patch over it without fear of the patch getting stuck in the bore. Now that really gets into those corners.

Yes. I have one of those too -- using both does a better job for me, as confirmed by a bore scope.
