Yes ,see Battle Weapons of the American Revolution by George C.Neumann #142 page 192. Rappahannock Forge in Virginia(circa 1776) even made a 1 1/8 " cal. rifled wall gun weighing 53.5 pounds! It was apparently very accurate at 500 yards.

You have to be impressed when someone shoots a wall gun offhand. I can't do it :rotf:

Movie

But I can do a driven clay, the movie's in my signature

RC, I have pics of that gun being fired for the first time in Burlingtont Vt. at one of the state flintlock matches. If memory serves me right it was 2 inches in diameter and he had the guts to put 600 gr of ffg. WOW!!!! The gun was built to specifically take a whitetail at 300yrds. I was told this was a huge smart old buck that inhabitited a large wheat field and slept the day away right smack in the middle and no one could get close. With the 600grs of ffg the ball passed through a log 12 inches in diameter and also buried itself more than 18 inches in the dirt. That's where we stopped digging for it . never did find it.

Thanks  Its a entertaining to shoot, just feels like after 10 shots you have done something... takes a while load.
