I had some spare time and some large chunks of scrap leather, so I made a Slim Jim holster for my youngest son's 51 Navy. Took it over to him Saturday, explained how he could form fit it by soaking, wrap the pistol in plastic, etc. I'm sure you folks know the drill.
Never one to display any tolerance for waiting on anything, he decided he could speed up the process by drying it in his oven. :grin: Sets the oven to 190, and the timer to 30 minutes....
He now has a holster with blackened grill marks on the back, that is hard enough to use as a war club :rotf:
