Went to the Ancient Ones of Maine muzzleloading gunshow this past SAT and I can't believe this only cost me $1! I can't use it on my flint smoothbore, but it should fit my percussion Pedersoli caplock 50-cal OK.

I'm thinking about sending it to Roundball to use with his marble and plastic ball tests ... so he could continue to test in the rain.

Whaddaya think?

:rotf:

... it's missing an elastic band ... but I should be able to make it work. Heck, I might just send it along to Toby Bridges.

Great idea!

I wonder if you could make one out of boiled cow horn so it would be period correct?

Put a bottom in that pan side and you could use 1/3 a pound of FFFFg and be SURE of 100% ignition.

WOW!! Did they have any more of them??!! And it IS brown so as to kinda fit in....Emery
