Just acquired an unfired smoothbore flintlock. 38 or so inch barrel, Walnut stock Steel ramrod, .677 bore and has a wrist inlay in the stock. Was told it might be a Northstar Officers Fusil, does any one have pics?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Tried that , it looks almost exactly like what is pictured. But it’s browned with no bayonet lug. Bought it from a guy in Jackson Ohio that makes locks etc
Thats the guy I bought the gun from! It is unfired as near as I can tellLooks like one of curly gromski’s trade guns or officer’s fusils, they’re ok.
Locks were casted in crappy 8620 steel. Frizzens too.
Larry Zornes has the molds, barrel and stock patterns for this gun, if you need parts.
You do realize that these are "kit" guns that where available,, and that "Northstar" didn't make the gun,, just the kit.Thats the guy I bought the gun from! It is unfired as near as I can tell
I realize they are “kit” guns I was trying to determine what kit it came from as the only short “ranger” guns I have seen are Indian or pedersoli .You do realize that these are "kit" guns that where available,, and that "Northstar" didn't make the gun,, just the kit.
These are not a factory off the shelf kind of thing, each one was built or assembled by an individual,,
So, What do you need to know, and/or what's your query about?
Definitely not a North Star.
