Recently, a thread was posted about carrying a cap and ball revolver for farm or woods use. To those who do carry a cap and ball revolver (for whatever purpose), what holster do you prefer and why? If possible, would you share some photos of your holster?

Thanks,

Banjoman

I use a cross draw holster (Slim Jim), keeps it out of the way of everything I do, plus my right side is free for a pocket knife or other things hanging on the right side.
All the nabs carry 9s and 38s, they all see the 44 hanging and give a thumbs up.
Gangsters dont come to our hood.

I use simple Slim Jim holsters with pouches for extra cylinders and caps.

Cap and ball revolvers lost their appeal. But if I were to return to carrying one around the property I'd go with Mr. Tremain's choice. I have been known to tuck a flintlock pistol in my belt. But not often.
