I think lambs tallow is softer. Elmer Keith I think was the
first on it. Mike the duelist 1954 also recommended it.
Beeswax alone was not recommended.
I think possibly the people at Enfield Lock might have been the first to try 80% Mutton tallow, 20% Bees wax on early Minie Bullets. Still as good as anything in Enfields.. OLD DOG..
