This is another from my dad's collection. I think it's a fowling piece, and is approximately 16ga. The stock appears to be maple.

I'll check fir barrel markings tomorrow when I get in from school. I have no way of determining choke. The barrel walls are very thick...approximately 1/8th of an inch.Any marks on the barrel? It sure looks like a mid-19th century sporting shotgun. Did you check to see if the barrel is choked at all?
