Agree.. Even before epoxy days a blade could be glued in securely. I have two knives I made when I was about seven years old (78 years ago). The blades were fastened in with hot glue. To this day an act of Congress couldn't get them out.the epoxy can really never pull out

Old Hickory used to make some solid blades. Maybe they still do but haven’t seen any for sale lately. I Still use them for cutting meat.I like simple, and Old Hickory has always filled my needs, from processing game, cutting patches, chopping vegetables, and the list goes on....and the same for Tramontina machetes....
