I’m glad my range isn’t like that, I’d never get to shoot. It’s rare that I don’t have it to myself.
Same here, When developing a load for a new gun it is great to have the range to myself. No distractions, go downrange whenever I want to look closer or post targets. No waiting for others. Stop for awhile and start again.

yesterday I added a 6" plate at 62yards and rang it first shot resting on my oil tank.

Something tells me that this is not the safest pistol rest...
anyways I then tried to hit it off hand a few times and was just wasting powder and shot so I put a cardboard box out there and shot it twice off hand.

with that information in my brain I rang that plate with the next shot off hand and called it good ;)

Got my new horn from Torpedo on Thursday, shot a doe with my .54 smoothbore on Friday, worked on a pistol on Saturday, shot my Lehigh today preping for tomorrow’s hunt.

Got a pack of Nocturnal lighted arrow nocks. 3 come in a pack. 1 for at home, 1 for my range box, and 1 for my car for when I go to pawn shops and gunshows.

Only problem is rhat I accidentally bought the strobed red n green light. Dropped in downnthe barrel and took a peep... thought I was back in high school.🤣🤣.

Shot the trapper again. hit my 5" plate first shot @ 30ish yards got the 6" plate on the 3rd shot @ 62yards... off hand .50 cal pistol. 25g 777. Cast roundball. If that was the last stage of a biathlon at least i would have one hit.... been skunked before when the course is seriously not pistol friendly...

Continue to work on dialing in my GPR 50 cal. It had been shooting a little right and a little low. Filled the front sight and taped the rear over a little bit. First target is 25 yards. Second is 50 after adjusting rear site. The high shot at 50 I way eyeballing my powder in an oversized deer mesure. Went back to using the right mesure.

WOW.....it was 55F & NO rain today at the FREE New Years Day shoot at Friendship Indiana. Best weather we've encountered in the 5 years of NYD shooting. 60...yes my friends...60 shooters showed up today with every imaginable BP gun you can think of ready to shoot. I saw a lot of new faces & plenty of familiar ones too. Thanks to all that came out to shoot today. It sure beat watching parades and football games.
Video will be posted next Sunday showing the fun...

Due to the weather I have been reading a lot of my old muzzleloader type books lately. One that I forgot about that I really like is the “Muzzle Loading Cap Lock Rifle” by Roberts
If you haven’t read it, it is worth the read.
