Rainy day here in NC. Made a sheath for my new file knife build. Got it stitched and stained today. First time making a knife and sheath, learned a lot and had a blast making them.
Here it is done.Finished engraving a horn. Tomorrow it gets stained and a carved plug.

Sweet!Here it is done.
Oh no!Worked on my powder horn. I was getting close to finishing. It cracked when I tried to put the plug in. I don’t think it was a good quality horn to start with. Time to start over.
This looks very interesting. Do you have a thread of the build?WARNING: Divert thy eye if modern black plastic offends thee.
Made a 10-32 tang nut, inletted it and countersunk the barrel for an allen head screw.
Took a Hogue pistol grip and epoxied a wooden tenon in place. It will be glued into the stock mortise and cross pinned.
Trigger guard bent to final shape and inletted.
Started beveling the stock corners to remove some of the chunkiness.

Very nice work.Completed another bag this evening. Cowhide body, deerskin pockets, Irish linen thread. No winter induced cabin fever for me. I stay plenty busy with these projects. Beats watching tv.... or maybe not. How would I know, I don't own one. View attachment 197871View attachment 197872
