His Name was supposed to be Gary, but his Mary dropped a heavy on her foot. Her exclamation took! Many sure tend to use His name in vain though!
She had a second breakfast of 2 fried eggs with cheese on top. Then after the birds and gun were cleaned we both took a nap together. She looks like a very happy pup, give her a treat and tell her good job.
Hey, I know that spot!Went on a lead and flint hunt. Don’t really need the flint but will pick up interesting pieces when I find them. TVA drains Norris lake way down this time of year. It makes fishing a little difficult but it’s a good time to walk the bank in search of lead sinkers, flint and other goodies. Didn’t find any lead today and didn’t find as many goodies as I sometimes do. It’s getting harder to find lead sinkers since not as many people fish from the bank as they used to, I guess.

Gorgeous images! Thanks for sharing the adventure.Took the little Border Terrier for another duck hunt this morning. She got 8 water retrieves and located one cripple in thick brush. The little 20 gauge Pedersoli got 4 and my son got 5 with his new fangled smokeless contraption.

I picked this up today it needs trigger work as the double set trigger will not release the hammer.Since the previous thread was shut down (locked) by our new moderator, I thought I would start one up again, as per the suggestion.
So, let's get this thread going again, and share your muzzleloading related adventures of the day!

Had a great afternoon with my son shooting trap in the yard today. He used his .410 and I used my Fusil de Chase. Christian thought I missed this one, but I was sure I shot out the center of the clay bird.
Lo and Behold ~~ I did

We all loved my sons white mouse, went through college in his top top pocket , it slept on his pillow. He came down crying he had rolled over and crushed it, now we were all in tears, My young pet crow broke its leg, he loved me so much, during flying lessons he fracture his leg. , without asking the vet just killed my crow, I cried and cried for ages, it’s just life, one gets too attached, I accidentally shot my pet pigeon , I did not cry he went straight in the oven, tasted great. Ha ha. Such is life.brother you are blessed.want to thank you for the pictures and your hunting adventures.it really lifts my spirits.i miss my beagles very much.lot of people dont have no idea how a man can love a hunting dog.but i know you do.keep your adventures going and please share. you and that pup put a smile on my face and a warm feeling in my heart. thank you so much
Ah, that's some fine animal history there, Gordoncourtney. Your pigeon incident reminded me of all the fine dinners that my grandmother once made, with local wild varieties, when I was a youngster. All the below species vigorously protected now of course. We all loved my sons white mouse, went through college in his top top pocket , it slept on his pillow. Recall you are up in Queensland, never been there only WA then only as far as Exmouth north WA is a fairly barren land I thought, hardly saw any animals , you hear of wild dogs and goats but I have never seen any , my highlight was chasing an emu at Canarvon Locals complain nothing to shoot Need to get up to Darwin one day after water buff. Google “ Marraki,s last buff with his 577/500 no2” big guns in OZ seem to be few and far between, and you cannot hunt with a muzzle loader in WA. Get a .222 seems that’s all gun shop seem to sell . Don’t get me wrong theses a big ML range at the big shooting complex up at Jondulup 20 miles north of perth. Yes I miss the place , it’s a long journey at 80
Happy Xmas in the sun.

Why is it that people that fish from the banks try to cast out to the middle and people that fish from boats cast near the shore?Went on a lead and flint hunt.
