Well, it was rather an involved process. The coin is thinner than the cut in the barrel so I had to fold the nickel in half and silver solder the seam. Then I used a disc sander to achieve the basic outline of the sight. Then carefully filed the base to the same thickness as the original and then thinned the blade section.hey how did u do that. dang u people amaze me on here.
Later, I discovered that Taylors offers a ready made tall replacement blade.
