I'm going to take the plunge and order a .36 Blue Ridge in Flint at the end of the week. What size flints should I order? 5/8" x 5/8", 5/8" x 3/4", ? Help!!

Chain shot ..do yourself a favor and make a new ramrod out of Hickory right away..I love the blue ridge but the ramrods are NO GOOD :nono: at all Save the tips and put em on a piece of hickory..Mark

I have a stand of hickory ramrods of different sizes in the corner of my bedroom behind the door. I do exactly what you suggested; I take the brass ends of the stock ramrods off and re-mount them on hickory. I then stain them and finish them with linseed oil.

Oh, and if y'all don't mind, what size balls and patches do you use in your .36 Blue Ridges?

great rifle, congrats. i have to use .350 with a .005 patch in mine cause it is really tight. tack drivers though. i use a 7/8 in mine too, and yeah, i broke my rod the first time i hunted with it  watch the screws, the heads will strip if your not careful
