See this rifle on an auction site. Someone unscrewed the breech from the barrel and for some reason did not reassemble it the way it was - barrel and breech tight together. Maybe could not get things to line up with one more rotation? Very weird.

Yeah, it needs one more twist! Take it all apart and re-set everything.
 
I agree with Flatcreek. It had better be cheap, I wonder what the bore looks like? Ask them to drop a AAA battery down the bore and take a photo.

Still 5 days for your $249 bid on GUN BROKER. The gun is dinged up in lots of spots and the bore is slightly visible in the advertisement .....The ramrod doesn't even sit properly . Save your money!!!

Don't think so. Ask yourself - how did the gun, factory new, come with barrel and breech tight together?
Do we know the gun came new with the breech tight, we would think it did and do we know that is the original breech and barrel or one or the other has been replaced. At any rate the breech and barrel needs to come apart to see what is going on.
