Firestick, My best wishes go your way for the very best outcome with your surgery. You have many well wishers rooting for you.
Thank you Hanshi. Means a lot to me. This is a good place to spend time reading and entertaining myself. Hoping to spend some time in the mountains this summer with my labs and my firesticks. Bellow out some smoke and cook a steak over a fire would be good for my soul.

Got second Covid vaccine injection two days ago and have been feeling rough ever since So A good time to make sure all the guns are in good shape.

Meanwhile, over in Oregon, some dear friends of ours haven't even gotten their first one................ :(

Oh great... keep hearing this about *** #2. My Honey and I get #2 on Thursday. : ) - or is that : ( SUPPOSED to get 3 new guns by Saturday, so will sit around fiddling with my new toys. ONE is that beaut of a flintlock that belonged to David's father - the mystery rifle - arriving Friday.

Normally I'd be playing with my knives or tinkering making one. Sometimes doing a repair on a rifle too. This time I am preparing for surgery in a couple weeks. Dr said to rest and take in 100-150 grams of protein a day. Tuff to do but I am working on it. 2 weeks from now I'll have holes all over my chest and tubes coming out from all over. Going round 2 with esophageal cancer 1st time was stage IV and they did radiation and chemo. This time it is surgery to remove most of my esophagus and then chemo. Have a few things to do before "just in case". Would make it worse if the weather was nice but I really can't say I enjoy below zero weather anymore healthy or otherwise.
That's harrrrd news, Firestick. If'n you don't mind, this ol' preacher/missionary would like to pray for you. - LongJnSilver - Johnny from Hendersonville, NC - the Blue Ridge Mountains (not as spectacular as the Bighorns, but at my age, they'll have to do!) Be blessed, friend.
