At first blush she looks fat. But, this is a wild out in the country doe that a buddy of mine got on his game cam. He's said he's seen it around his property. He won't shoot it as he's not sure if there's something wrong with it or if it's just fat. But just fat doesn't make sense as all other doe in the area are "normal".

Any thoughts?

In 2012 some friends and I took over an 1100 acre lease that had only been hunted about 10 days a year for the last 15 years for trophy bucks. We had a number of huge older does that looked like that. Big bodied with large protruding briskets. And smart too!

The largest shot by one of our guys was 197 pounds FIELD DRESSED. That's a really big mature buck in our area. My grandson shot one that was so old she basically had no molars anymore. At the check station the biologists figured she could have been upwards of 20 years old.

Or, maybe that doe just sits on the couch eating chips and drinking soda while watching chick flicks on the Hallmark Channel! 😉😁
