I paid enough at auction to get it so this private purchase Feldstutzer 10.5 Swiss/ German (Jager??!!!!) 1853 should come high on my list ,not fired it yet

Me too especially one he made 😂
Larry Really, Rob that is one fine trade gun!!
Thanks bud , very kind . Just a d@mn ole trade gun ! I'm clumsey , always droppin it and such so ...no loss , just looks like antiquing applied to it !! LOL ! I'm spoiled now carrying around such a light gun , the new Fusil feels SO heavy !! LOL ! :)

I mentioned the Feldstuter above , but at same auction I won this plain and simple 577 big game rifle , £600 , not a lot of charisma , but made in Aberdeen Scotland 1830 ,a plain and simple working rifle , heavy at 12 lbs , no doubt , for some game keeper on a great Scottish estate , for bringing down great stags that roam the hills. It would become my favourite if only I could shoot it, it has one flip up rear sight . Yes nice but not quite my favourite , too heavy to carry far and wide .

My favorite is my Hawken Shop kit I built about 45 years ago. Kit came from The HAWKEN Shop in St. Louis. Up there is my John Armstrong I built from scratch back then. 45 cal swamped Douglas barrel, flint and percussion locks.

This is like picking a favorite child, somebody’s feelings are going to get hurt.

For me though it might be my latest, a Joe Schell half stock in .36.

Sorry kids!

I got a navy arms 1803 Harpers Ferry Rifle at an estate sale a few months ago that is quickly becoming my favorite to shoot, not only that it is also very easy to clean! Would love to see some pictures/hear about what you guys have and enjoy shooting regularly.
Easy the one I'm shooting/cleaning that day ,lots of choices but photos ? I know what I have but that's between me and the wife ,I admit to not telling her everything ,I'll leave it right there !/Ed

It is easily my Dixie Cub flintlock in .40 caliber I put together in 1990 or 1991.
That little gun has put more,Deer, squirrel, and rabbit on the plate then all my other guns together including unmentionables.
