we call them feathered rats around here but just today on my way to the inlaws I stopped in a snowstorm to help some animal lover capture one that had an injured wing, I caught it by shaking a blanket to distract it. I have not had so much fun in a while. Chasing an injured goose in 8 inches of snow so it can go to some animal shelter. I have never eaten canada goose but we raised and processed 9 chineese geese and man are they delicious, they also keep the orchard grass down I may get some more in spring.

I was looking on these people's web page it shows they have bismuth shot. I was looking for tin/pewter. Have not called and checked.

Thanks for the tip...however, their website terminology is misleading to us hunters...it is not Bismuth "bird Shot" like you and I normally think of shot.

To them and others in commercial metal industry that phrase means small squares of Bismuth for some other company to buy and use in some other sort of metal making business...its not round "bird shot"...and they sell it in thousands of pound lots

Try Natchezss Shooters Supply

They have #, BB,00 for $109.99 for 10# normally sells for $199.99.

Yeah, I realized after it was too late to edit the title of this thread that I can't use Hevi-Shot without using one of those hard plastic cups that's also used for steel shot...don't want to use modern plastic cups so the only two non-toxic types I could use would be Bismuth or the newer Tungston-Matrix...they're soft like lead...but thanks for the tip
